Organic Cotton:

Organic cotton is one of the friendliest textiles both for skin and the environment and so it has enormous benefits. Organic is a term used to certify various industry standards that are eco-friendly and causes less harm than usual textiles. Organic cotton is also hence certified bioorganic agricultural standards.

Benefits of Using Organic Cotton:

The production of organic cotton takes place without using any artificial or harmful pesticides that in any way can affect the soil fertility or air by any means. For growing organic cotton it takes three years to remove the toxic chemicals and fertilizers in the land.

  2. It’s health friendly for us.
  3. It gives fair trade to farmers and workers.
  4. It does not harm the natural habitat of wildlife.
  5. It’s harmless.

  • It is also used in the medical sector in surgeries which helps reduce contamination from any source that can be dangerous.

  • Buying organic cotton may help you to become a concern and responsible individual.

Globally, brands like Zara, H&M, Levi’s, Grassroots, Thought, Nike, Synergy, Knowtow are working towards future goals of being as organic as possible and bringing change in the society and for the environment that may last long enough for even the coming generations.

Still in many parts of the world cotton is handpicked which is why it can affect the workers and farmers health as they are the one who is exposed to it the most. However, by using organic methods we may save many of these toxic side effects.
