  4. Figures: caption BELOW the figure (e.g., Figure 3.1: Tensile strength tester). Tables: caption ABOVE the table (e.g., Table 4.1: Test results of cotton samples).
  5. Everything written like [Your Thesis Title] is a placeholder — replace it. Lines marked (instruction) guide you and must be deleted in your final book.
  6. References follow APA 7th style (author–date). Examples are given in the References section of this template.

ABSTRACT

(200–300 words, one page. Write it LAST, after finishing all chapters. It must contain: the problem, your objective, the method in 2–3 lines, the main results with numbers, and the conclusion. Then add 4–6 keywords.)

[Write your abstract here: start with the problem your thesis addresses, state the aim, describe the materials and method briefly, give the key findings with the most important values, and end with the conclusion and its practical value.]

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

(2–4 pages: introduce your topic area, its importance for the textile/apparel industry, and the background that leads to your study.)

1.2 Problem Statement

(The exact gap or problem your work addresses — be specific.)

1.3 Objectives

(General objective in one sentence, then 3–5 specific objectives as a numbered list.)

1.4 Scope and Limitations

(What your study covers, and honestly what it does not cover — sample size, machines, time.)

1.5 Outline of the Thesis

(One short paragraph per chapter.)

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW

2.1 [First Major Topic]

(Review published books, journal papers and standards related to your topic. Write in your own words, cite every source as (Author, Year), and finish the chapter with a short summary of the research gap.)

2.2 [Second Major Topic]
2.3 Summary of the Literature and Research Gap

CHAPTER 3: MATERIALS AND METHODS

3.1 Materials

(Every material/sample used: type, source, specification — use a table.)

3.2 Instruments and Machines

(Machine name, model, manufacturer, and the standard followed, e.g., ASTM/ISO number.)

3.3 Experimental Procedure

(Step-by-step procedure, ideally with a flow chart as a figure. Another researcher must be able to repeat your work from this chapter alone.)

3.4 Testing Standards and Conditions

(Temperature, RH, number of specimens, and the standard for each test.)

CHAPTER 4: RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

4.1 [First Result Area]

(Present results in tables and graphs. Discuss every result: why it happened, how it compares with published work, and what it means. Never paste a table or graph without discussing it in the text.)

4.2 [Second Result Area]
4.3 Statistical Analysis (if applicable)
4.4 Summary of Findings

CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

5.1 Conclusions

(Numbered conclusions, each tied to one objective from Chapter 1. Only claim what your results prove.)

5.2 Recommendations
5.3 Future Work

(Honest suggestions for how this study can be extended.)
