Back Staining Problem:
In any washing process dyes are removed from garments which stay in the liquor. This dye can be re-deposited in any undyed area of garments like pocketing fabric which is not accepted by buyer. This problem is known as back staining problem in garment wash. This is the common problem in the garment washing process. Today I would like to discuss about causes of back staining problem and also its reminders.
Causes of Back Staining Problem:
In garments industry, there are two major reasons for back staining problem. One is for excess softener application on garments and another reason is for low quality dyeing process on garments. Back staining problem is also created by the application of low quality dyestuff on garments. So, Major causes are
- Used more softener
- Low dyeing quality
Remedies of Back Staining Problem:
- To avoid back staining problem in the garments washing process first of all it is necessary to ensure whether the problem arises for excess application of softener and low dyeing quality on garments. To ensure this, first one sample should be washed without softener. If the back staining problem is stopped, then it is sure that back staining occurred in excess application of softener. Then the problem can be avoided by reducing the uses of softener in the washing process. But back staining problem is not stopped for washing without using of softener, then it can be said that the problem occurred for the low quality of dyeing applied to garments.
- To avoid the low dyeing quality problem then, the garments should be pre-prated by following recipe:
M : L ratio = 1 : 5
Fixing Agent = 1%
Temperature = 40 C
Time = 10 minute
After applying the mentioned process, drop the liquor and unload the garments and hydro extracted. Finally the garments are dried by gas or steam dryer. Then garments are subjected to the washing process.
