Sustainable Fashion:
Persistently now sustainability has become a global concern with the fast rate of globalization. So what exactly is sustainability?
Well, as the word defines “it is the ability to retain for a longer time than usual”.
Now, you must be wondering why sustainability is needed in the fashion industry?
For years and years, we have used millions and trillions of resources to make a piece of garment and mass produce it but it can bring you in shock that 60% of the clothes and accessories end up in landfills, garbage areas are dumped and over dumped with branded clothes of even the most luxurious brands in the world.
Present Situation of Sustainable Fashion:
But now the times have changed, designers in 2020 have redesigned whole new concepts of recycling, reusing and remaking apparel, clothing or accessories. New techniques like zero waste fashion, upcycling, organic clothing coloring and dyeing and eco-friendly labeling and packaging.
The Fashion Industry will now not stay quiet and see the environment diminishing, rather it will give urgent attention and prominence to make the industry stay for long.
There are billions of people in the world, but each and everyone is responsible to make the environment live and last long enough for our future generations.
Future Scope of Sustainable Fashion:
A significant amount of innovations are still need to be done by designers, entrepreneurs and organizations to line up sustainable practices and new innovative ideas that will ultimately result in long sustained ways of the fashion industry.
Reflecting the growing knowledge of consumers shows that today they are aware of the environmental impact that their purchase pattern may have as most of the brands or entrepreneurs have an eco-friendly section in their business models which is strengthening their consumer count day by day.
Companies must utilize existing models in the most appropriate ways to execute all sustainable practices as possible. They must gather self-assessment tools that will help them fill the gap of planning to execution.
